Alison Park, also known as Randwick’s “village green,” provides a fun playground, shady fig trees and a flat green space to sit and relax.
Fred Hollows Reserve (accessible via Glen Avenue or Bligh Place) is dotted with pretty picnic areas along it’s walkway, and the unique and tranquil, Fred Hollows Reserve, provides another lovely inner city walkway.
Over at Randwick Environment Park, you’ll find a sprawling walking track through wetlands and bush and a home to many species of flora and fauna including the Eastern Banskia Scrub.
Venture a little further and you can experience the incredible Centennial Parklands. This grand park in the Victorian period tradition, features formal gardens, ponds, grand avenues, statues, historic buildings and numerous walking tracks and sporting fields.
Cafes & Restaurants
The main shopping strip in Randwick is along Belmore Road, where you can take your pick from two major shopping centres and an Asian supermarket. Close by at Moore Park, you’ll find the The Entertainment Quarter village markets and the producer’s market.
“The Spot” - located around the intersection of Perouse Road and St Pauls Street, is a vibrant entertainment hub with a collection of shops, restaurants, cafes and cinema.
