This pretty coastal cove, with it’s sleepy village atmosphere and whisper quiet streets, is beachside bliss all the way. Perfectly positioned between Bronte and Coogee, it’s a coveted address embracing stunning designer homes and breathtaking views, without the“showy” attitude or clambering crowds.

Although this pretty place seems world’s away, you only need travel 8 kilometres out of Sydney to find this divine destination. Clovelly was settled way back in the 1830’s and befittingly named after the seaside town in Devon, England. Today, this prized address, hosts an amazing display of architecturally-designed and beautifully renovated properties that collect a pretty-penny whenever they’re offered.

Clovelly is a favourite with families who love to be near the water, but shy away from the hectic pace of other popular beaches. And it’s no wonder . . . Clovelly’s bay is partially closed off from the ocean by a man-made breakwater, making it’s waters sensationally sublime and swimming super safe.

One of Clovelly’s most coveted treasures, is the heritage-listed ocean pool which provides some of best snorkelling in Sydney. Here, you can easily lose yourself for hours on end amongst a colourful array of friendly fish life and intricate coral, that thrive in this beautiful bay.

In this lovely locale, you’ll also find a small shopping centre that serves the locals, a healthy choice of beachside cafes, restaurants and traditional stores, plus a regular bus network that takes you into the city and to surrounding suburbs.

If you ever get bored of the beach (which is doubtful), you can always join the surfside activities at historical Clovelly Surf Life Saving Club, improve your handicap at one of the five nearby golf courses, or catch up with friends for cold ale at the Clovelly Hotel.
